Yeah I thought it was silly when I first thought about it. But as soomo said I take mine out alot and just want something that's easy to pull over so no one can see what's in the boot. I'm sure other people have thought about this before but can't seem to find anything about it.

If the estate one is the same width as the hatchback where it pushes on to the plastic side trim I think it would be fairly straight forward. May try find one down the scrappy to look at and try!

There's a V6 Mk2 estate in the process of being scrapped in the breakers I use... For probs a tenner, it'll be worth taking to see :)

As I've never seen an estate one in the flesh I'm not sure if they attach the same as the hatchbacks.

But I have an idea about making one, just gotta see how much it would cost me! And of course depends what it looks like when finished. Could be a pile of crap...!! lol :whistling: :D

The estate cover is slightly wider than the hatch and uses a totally diffrent way of mounting into the vehicle.

You would have to use the estate side trim which could be made to fit but would not be any easy job.

If you can wait until the 22nd I'll get some pictures of the estates cover by the hatch when I get home. That way you dont go wasting your money.

As Jeff says, the mountings are totally different. You'll need to get handy with fibre glass to make them fit and, again I'm not sure how good it would actually look.

Why wait for Jeff when my estate is parked about 10ft away from my PC?

I think these will give you an idea. I know they're not brilliant, but I couldn't see much in the dark!

Nice pics. There's enough detail to get an idea of what is there, and what work would be needed :L

I have in mine...

Spare coat no. 2
Old newspapers - for dog crate.
Emergency crisps and sweets.

[color:purple] Just in case anyone is worried - the dog likes it in the car and chooses to sleep in it...[/color] :L
