Hi guys,

Finally having a lot of questions myself, I bought and installed an android radio to my mk3 model.

Installation was pretty eazy.

You have to buy the following from ebay:

1. a ''DOUBLE DIN FASCIA FACIA PANEL SURROUND TRIM PANEL CD RADIO FORD MONDEO 23~07''.

2. a ''PC2-84-4 FORD MONDEO 2000 to 2014 ISO STEREO HEAD UNIT HARNESS ADAPTOR LEAD'' (the problem with this lead is that it has two iso connectors instead of one connector that the android radio has, and it is needed to make a lot of wire connections in order to mate the two harnesses.

3. Android radio

Notice that if you have extra streering wheel control for the radio you have to make extra connections in order to operate the radio from the steering wheel. There are three wires that you have to connect. The first two (Key 1 and Key 2 as they called in the radio harness) must connect in the Connector B (C520), and the other one is that you have to supply ''minus (-)'' to the wire coloured ''brown yellow''.

I hope it hepled

That adaptor only works for face lift models, if you have a pre face lift like me, you have to do some very careful cutting.

My Sony 7" touchscreen only just fits in my dash with its surround fitted, I had to carefully cut all the way to where the panels gloss finish starts at the top and bottom and had to go to within 1cm on the sides!

To make things even harder, during the cutting process, you cut away almost all the material that would normally support the head unit and I had to use absolutely all of the cage bend tabs and they had to be bent real hard up against the back of the facial plastic to get enough support.

I prefer my dash over the face lift but boy was it a mission going from a single din to a double din!
