Hi all i have a Titx that seems to have an intermitent rattle coming from the rear somewhere, at first i thought it was the spare wheel rubbing in the wheel well but i have eliminated that, it could possibly be the tail gate but im having trouble pinning it down..has anyone else had this problem and if so please god what was it :susel:

I had a tin of mints hidden in a woollen glove in the rear door pocket that drove me batty for the thick end of 3 weeks (cheers kids!!)totally overlooked as how the hell can a glove rattle and buzz :}
Probably not helpfull but eliminate the obvious by stripping the car bare of all additions and nick knacks :)
yea your right, that really wasn't helpful.
could a neighbours kid have popped some pebbles or ballbearings in your tailbox.mabey..w
am i spos to be laughing at these comments ??

Have you considered dropping one of the rear seats and getting someone else sat in the other one to try and ID where the noise is coming from whilst you drive it?
Hey lighten up you clown. You don't come accross as the laughing type, just want instant answers to a vaugue problem.
Whoop de doo, you've got a rattle. Get off your backside and sort it. If it helps the rear of the car is behind you when sat in the seat looking at the speedo
Ladies, please.. :) :stir:
I have to say this ribbing can be annoying if you don't expect it, but its only people trying to be friendly and have a laugh.

Only really get to a rattle by systematic checks and then rides to confirm what alters it until eventually you track it down.

Since using Isofix baby-seat I've got an annoying rattle in the rear on the side I fit the seat, even with the seat and base removed it still rattles. Will have to start poking things around making sure everything is fitted tried raising the side sun-blinds but that makes no difference.

Struggle on and hopefully you'll find something simple.
Try the plastic parts at the upper rear seat belt mounts ? Where the belt goes through. My ones drove Me crazy till I pinpointed the noise.. They now have a piece of rag wound round them to stop the bloody anoying rattle. Just what You expect from a 27k motor !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Roger,

I have the exact same problem rattle wise.
If I find what mine is I'll give you a shout!

I also have a rattling/banging from my offside front end. Not very good for a car thats done less than 10,000 miles.

It will be going back to 'a' dealers soon --- definitely not the dealers where I bought it. They a are amazingly, to put it mildly were and still are f...... crap. We really should have a 'name and shame' thread on this site.
Hey good look with that mine has a similar prob been at it for months trying to track it down. All I know is when the back seat is fully loaded with bodies it stops.
