Auto Dim Rear View Mirror

Some rear view mirror monitor can display the obstacles via images at night,mines can also. Of course, i had a full set car rear view system fitted on my car. It makes up a parking sensor for me. Did help me a lot before. Had it more than one year, the function is in well condition, but colors would thin at night, i was wondering if there is some better mirrors for solving this problem, or some feasible way to improve it.

so the auto dip mirror just changes colour does it? i thought it would move the mirror like the handle does on the manual ones.

i have one with auto and off buttons and a green light when the car is running.

How easy is it to fit an auto dimming mirror? I quite fancy having one and I'll probably be having the passenger side trim off the A piller so might as well do it then.

Thanks have found it, I looked under A for auto dimming and R for rear view mirror!

Note to self: check properly before asking questions! ;-)

its ok mate a lot of people do it whats annoying though is if theres very recent threads and people post asking the same questions hen the most recent threads cover what they need to know lol in your case it wasnt the issue.

Cool I did have a quick look to see if it was somewhere obvious bit just didn't check the wiki properly. Now on the hunt for a rearview mirror! Will pop to the breakers on Monday after the mondeo has been in for it's mot to see what they've got laying around

I have the same mirror as the original poster (54/2005 Mondeo), an indentation on the left of centre and a green LED (I guess that's what it is) on the right of centre. The LED never comes on. The mirror goes dark green very fast and is far too sensitive if you ask me, I'd quite like to turn it off. Am I missing a button and/or can I replace with a version that does have the button?

i got auto dipping mirror and tinted windows i dont notice any difference at any time with it. maybe its broken lol its set to auto anyway.

I have looked but I think I am going mad because I cannot find the Wiki for the auto-dimming mirror, would someone be kind enough to give me a direct link?
