Battery Age?

Hi All,
Is there a way of telling how old my battery is?,its a motorcraft one.I don't know how old it is as it was in the car when i bought it :L

It may have date stamped on it.
if you suspect battery is dead,change it, if it works fine no need really.

Hi dog68 & thank You,There is a number stamped on the battery but it does not make any sense? :confused:
yeah its starting the car ok but id like to know how old it is. :)

There is 2 numbers - 2764HM & 19-6KF ;)

the date code is on a round sticker on the side of the battery. A letter and a number. The letter represents the month (A=Jan, ect) and the # represents the last digit of the year.
Mine has a 1st charged date 17 04.

I flattened the battery whilst messing with the locking & programming the new keys.
A few weeks later it let me down so i replaced it.
I think that would be week 17 of 2004, must have changed the codes on newer batteries
