battery lead

i have almost snaped the big black negitive cable going to the battery right by the termanal but it is to short to cut the bit off the end and redo so i am going to go to the scrap yard and get another one how easy are the to take off were does the big black wire go

Negative cable would go to the engine block around about the bellhousing i think.

thanks i put a new one on today and so far everything seems to be ok
