Started noticing the battery light dimly, flickering when i,m at about 70mph, doesn't do it when i,m going slower. Checked battery night before last and 2 cells were dry. Topped them up and i still have the problem ?
Reckon i,ve killed the battery or is it something else ?

put a voltmeter across the battery and rev the engine to say 4000 rpm , it should read about 14.5 volts , if it is more then the alternator could be shot

just beware that if the alternator is overcharging the battery then the battery has the potential to become a nasty bomb of sorts , you do not want showering with battery acid , trust me on that one
