Hi,
Anyone seen the YouTube video called 'Mondeo diesel turbo fix'?
Having problems with my actuator arm sticking and apparently this can solve it as well as improving performance in general.

Sorry for the format and lack of link. Having issues with my computer... Won't let me do anything other than basic formatting.

Drilling the manifold and using Mr Muscle? A few have done it and had good results.

Its not as thorough as stripping and cleaning. But takes a lot less time/effort.

Grease on the drillbit holds the swarf.

Very interesting. I might try it before I start spending on actuators and possibly the turbo.

Depends if the vanes are the issue or the actuator itself.

Have you check the actuator arm?

Worth doing if you have sticking vanes. Stripped mine out half a dozen times and Mr muscled it all with the oven cleaner and a brush. The gave in and drilled the end of the manifold and tapped it and popped a bolt in there. Now its a 10min job to Mr muscle it instead of a 3 hour messy strip and clean.

Don't worry about the residue. Its on the exhaust side of the engine so all the crap disappears in a cloud of black smoke put the tail pipe.
