As the title says....how hard is it to do "blackeyes"? i know taking the head lights off the car is simply, but my main concern is getting apart the glass from the main body, and then again of course resealing it.....advice please

If you can use a hairdryer, and a spray can then its easy.
While you have the headlight lens removed you might want to fit the Focus clear indicator lens,as a replacement for the orange one thats in there.
my biggest fear is re-sealing the lens, making sure it dont drop off because i used the wrong stuff, is your normal clear silcone ok for the job?
Normally you can warm up the sealant, remove the plastic lenses and use the same sealant again. I did and I have had no issues since. Heat it up and remove the plastic lense. Heat it up again and fit the lenses back on.
Oh, and definetly fit the focus clear lense. It looks a helluva lot better!
i would use a window sealent as its weather proof re did mine yesterday with halos too after my damage didnt take too long
there is loads of advice on here regurding re sealing the lences and what sealents to use, each of of us have our own methods of doing this, have you used the search button?
well looks like a job for next weekend, thanks guys.
Gzs2004 just had a peek at your mondi...very nice and those lights look great, also looks much better without the door strips...nice looking car :L
tiger seal is very good it will work great and is black to blend in with the black background, this is one of the easiest jobs you can do to improve the look of your mondeo and is very cheap and quick to do.

list of stuff needed is =

sand paper
sealent
black spray/matt black
primer
hair dryer
luck ha
thanks for that guys and your list was the same as mine -hair dryer got a heat gun..low settings be ok?....tigerseal on ebay just bought some
heat gun even better.

goodluck man

post pics to show results yeah
leave them in a warm room or cupboard overnight with the backs off and all the moisture will go.

You might not have that problem though.
