I have to disagree, just done UK to a hotel in Cologne (germany) using the Blaupunkt Ford unit and it was faultless. It does have a B&W screen and its not at eye level but it took me straight to the address. I find that CD updates are cheap (Ebay) as well. The latest UK only cost £30.

£30 for up to date cd on ebay??? i paid £65+P+P and that was for 2005
i had been looking for a couple of weeks and this seemed a decent price too

Hi,

Merry christmas. The trick I find is to search for the ones that are badly listed. I think mine was listed as Ford CD 2006! I almost always buy mine from German Ebay sellers as well. Try the german version of Ebay and ask them if they will accept Paypal.

The blaupunkt system has some limitations but as a navigation system for A to B when you don't know where B is it works very well. I have a Garmin portable unit as well (purchased before we got the Mondeo) and that has more detail but doesn't refresh as quick as the ford in a built up area and can take some time recalculating. I find the ford unit almost instant.
