Camshaft Sensor

I have a 04 Mondeo TDCi that has been getting a very occasional glow plug light warning then engine goes into idle mode and shuts down about a mile later.

Upon restart it is fine and sometimes doesn't happen again for a few weeks.

However, it is still bugging me. I have read in here and elsewhere that this could be the camshaft sensor (majority of cases it seems to be) so as they are only 15 quid I thought i'd change it.

Does this sound like a cam sensor failure and also where is it located and how easy are they to change?

Any help is appreciated. :driving:

I found out the answer to the above.

One thing though...Do I need to disconnect the battery to fit the cam sensor?
