Mot or insurance expired?

Has it been 6 or 12 months since you setup the payment?

The problem with the DVLA is they say they dont get it wrong so it

must be your fault and they send you a fine or clamp it.

I think they are only open M- F to phone them to chase it up.

The car is insured, MOT'd until April 23. The years tax ran out on March 31 but in theory should just roll over according the the dot.Gov website. The DVLA website checker says the car is taxed until April 1st 2017, but it's odd that I haven't had a reminder in the post. Knowing my luck I'd go online to tax it and then DVLA would let me tax it twice and take two payments per month :)

Just looked at my direct debit mandate and it states it will automatically renew itself yearly unless you notify of a change of ownership/circumstances...glad I've got that straight...
Ahem.... :)so no worries fellow Mondeo owners who pay by direct debit..Nannie is taking care of things.....:)

Nanny maybe taking care of things but nanny sometimes lets the batty old senile

aunt look after the kiddies :)

Batty senile aunt = DVLA :)

Who claim that you MUST contact them if you do not receive the change of

keeper notification. But the law makes no mention of chasing it up. Once you

send off the V5C parts for a change of keeper your jobs done.

DVLA took one person to court but the DVLA had to admit they lose quite a bit

of mail internally. And still claimed the person failed to send the documents in.

DVLA lost but its a hassle you dont need.

AT least its showing as taxed so thats a good sign. Maybe just a glitch with the bank?

I have been shopping at ASDA on a Sunday and come home to see its gone, but a

couple of times it have taken until Thursday to show.

I'm with the yorkshite bank.
Some times they don't take the money out for upto 3-4 days.
Even happens with paying on card for shopping & stuff..puts me off paying with card..
Paying for fuel by card at the pump is the worst..can take up to a week!.
I suppose that will end soon as people have worked that one out and grabbing the free top up cards off the www.and topping it up with £1. Which enables the £70-£90 limit @ the pump.

That's the first time DVLA haven't taken it on the first of the month, even when weekends or bank holidays were involved.
