A good many yonks ago I mentioned in a thread about this useful cheap tool and that you can fit 1/2"drive impact sockets to it. Online ads don't make this clear at all, so as I recently bought a new one from Toolstation for under a tenner, I thought I'd post some pics to show you. Note it also comes in a METAL box too!... how retro is that?

First time i saw one was my dads and couldnt even figure out which direction

to turn it to undo something. Probably used it half a dozen times and probably

tightened the fixture up more rather than loosen them.

1st use I had was loosening the hub torx bolts. 2nd use was strut pinch bolts. For those 2 jobs alone it paid for itself.

Never had or used one. Is it just, hit the end with a large hammer to jolt the nut / bolt into loosening?

Yep that is the theory. Cannot remember any successes or failures with it though?

Maybe I thought which was is which and turned to another tool? :D
