I've read somewhere on this forum that the clutch,I presume in the TDCI, has a sensor which keeps the revs up for a seconds when gears are changed in order to make the gear change process more smooth.

I have tried this on my 2004 Mondeo tdci and when the cluch pedal is pressed down the revs drop to idle speed immediatlly. Is't normal? Are they suppose to stay up for a few seconds? Could it be a faulty sensor?
