An issue I've had with my Mk2 v6 ever since I had it. When its cold i.e first thing in the morning it refuses to start on the key alone, I have to give it some throttle to get it to fire up. Once its had that initial turn over its fine after that all day long.

Also sometimes when idling - usually when hot it can be a bit irratic - but like a missfire, but never stalls.

Rest of the time it drives absolutely fine. Im thinking its sensor related? Any ideas? Its a V reg mk2 auto.

yes mate mine takes a while to start all the time, and sometimes i have to press the throttle

gods know why this is?

ive just recharged battery and fitted new Ford Plugs & Leads too!

update to this mate

my car ticked over very lumpy and took a bit to fire up

ive cleaned the Secondaries / Throttle Body out and put new gaskets on

fired her up and was amazed - engine fires up on the key alone almost instantly now and the ticks over properly - really smooth

and its faster now too!!! :evil:
