I've just bought a 1996 P Mondeo saloon. It's a facelift model, so whether this makes it a mk1.5 or a mk2 - I'm not too sure.

Anyway, the driver's side rear lamp has a hole in it and there is minor evidence of some damp in the boot.

Obviously I want to replace the whole unit, but would the hole in the lamp explain the water ingress ?.

I know the saloons are quite rare (by Mondeo standards), but do you think I will be able to get a decent cluster assy from a scrappy ?

you should be able to get a decent cluster ad it would certainly explain some leakage, teh rear seals are common to go but easy to fix if you use some silicone on the inside
