watch out essex. theres a few wheel nickers out there. tried getting mine last night while parked outside ketters gaff!! on the way home got a rumble and a knock. thought its the bearing on the passenger side and checked it today and the hub nuts solid. wheel moved. so checked the nuts and they were loose. all but the locking one on that side both front and back. so problem sorted. and it aint gonna stop me from going over ketters place either. makes you laugh as these wheels are scuffed to bits!!!

They're always about. The girl across the road from me had her wheels nicked off her Ka almost a year ago in broad daylight at about 6:00 in the evening with cars and buses driving past. They kindly dropped it on the floor too. Their usual trick is take the wheels, you get new ones on your insurance, then they come bak and swap em back for your scuffed ones.

Also they like to try stealing the scissor jacks too. I had mine broken into a couple of years back. They nicked the jack, wheelbrace, a blanket and a can of WD40. Don't know if they intended to have my alloys or went off in search of someone elses. I also have two locking nuts per wheel. I never leave the sockets for them in the car neither, always in my pocket. I know a bloke who also lives in Hornchurch who had his MK2 broken into on his drive right in front of his house window, they found his socket in the glove box took his wheels and dropped the car (3 months old at the time) on its sills. Car had to go away for repair as well as a new set of alloys.

Reason I sleep with the baseball bat and air gun next to the bed. ;)

Guy I'm working with came out the house one morning and saw his windscreen wipers sticking up,he thought the kids had been messing about but on closer inspection found that the windscreen from his escort had been stolen!

Gaffer came out of his house to find his wheels gone and his car up on rocks,what annoyed him most was the feckers had dug the rocks out of his rockery..

I had my car alarm stollen :loopy: ..It was one of the first ultrasonic things that sat on the dash and plugged in the cigarette lighter,took me ages to live that down :}

thats bad mate ,i didnt have any probs like that when the crazyford was up there for a week ...just goes to show that it takes one bad element just to walk past your car and see ££££ signs doesnt it

Probably find it's not oppurtunists, they recce the area and do there homework most of the time. Make a diary of reg's. and times when car will be there etc.

I had both rear alloys nicked off my XR2 14 years ago, It was the morning of my wedding day and my mum said that my car was sitting funny, I just thought she's losing it and when I had a look there was my rear end up on bricks, I was expecting them to turn up during the day, but no :headshake: .
Bloody Winkers,
I still think the wife did it to stop me doing a runner :D

:( Walked past the Wifes focus on the drive and noticed some of the wheel nuts were missing, ended up with 2 nuts on three of the wheels & the drivers side front only had one on it. dont know wether they were coming back that night or they got disturbed but god forbid if i had not noticed and she went off round the M25 with our 2 kids in the back.
Went down Fords to buy some normal wheel nuts & it worked out cheaper to buy locking ones. :loopy:

My other half was takein me to work one morning, we got outside, i went around the passenger side to get in and the window was gone, along with sony head unit, gps and monitor all worth about £500 , not alot of money but needless to say when you worked your ass off in the first place to buy these items and some lil theafing sod comes and takes it all its mighty anoying!!!
Only funny bit about it all is the chav that did it REALLY didnt have a clue what he was doin, they left all the wireing and remotes for all three items, so no matter if they tryed to sell so someone as stupid as themselfs they wouldnt get feck all for it becouse they couldnt turn then on let along work out how to use them :D

That's why I never leave anything on view in the car and always remove the stereo keypad.

reading posts like this make my blood boil, damn scum, I had my previous car (metro) broken into in grimsby, im just hoping when i get my mondeo in a few months itll be targeted less than my fiesta (97 model) due to the fact it has better standard secuirty and is more secur and will ALWAYS have a disklok on even if i pop to shops for paper!!
