Hi. I'm Jaime, from Spain.

I've a problem with my Denso navi system.

One day, my car's battery has died. Well, I've conected a new battery. Ok, all right until here. My daughter has played with numeric keyboard, and... surprise, now I only can see the numeric keyboar. I write the correct code for my navy, but nothing. Numeric keyboard is fixed in my screen. I've tried access to diagnostic menu, but the Reset to default factory settings are disabled.

I don't know what I can do, because I've visited Ford official workshop, and they don't know how solve my problem. He has told me that he needs send my navy to UK or Portugal, directly to Visteon official SAT, and it will cost me around 350€.

It's possible solve this problem with my navy? I think that my daughter has writed almost 15-20 times one bad code, and now the system is completely blocked.

Please, help me...

Thanks in advance :)

the easiest fix is to replace the radio unit. It comes as a separate part to the touchscreen.

I may have one spare in my workshop.

You can access it via IDS but it wont solve the issue.

with the radio unit blocked you will not be able to use anything that you mentioned above.

Fit a new radio assy, type in the code, back to normal.

Then gaffer tape child into the seat so she doesnt go it again!

Hi Alex.

I've located one 2nd hand navi, for only 250€. My question is: If I buy this 2nd hand navi, Can I plug&play or I need to carry my car to Ford service for make any modification/codification at the navi?

I've readed that I can unplug the negative on the car battery, wait 20 seconds and plug again. This is ussefull?

Thanks for your time :)

disconnecting the battery wont work in this case. Buy the replacement unit and swap the radio units out.
