Hi, what reason would leave you to belive you have problem with injector? if your car is telling you it has a code (flashing glowplug light) then it should show up, cost varies from £60-100.
reason is i have a slight knocking noise when i acelerate and local garage which is small had quick look and think it may be injector problem no glow plug light coming on cars starts 1st time and runs like a dream no noise when u lift the foot or when car is ticking overe there seems to be a leak also around injector area but cant see where its coming from they said would be best to put it on the computer still waiting to hear back from local ford garage to see if thay can help with problem
Give it a good clean up around injectors, look for leak from injector leak-off pipes, and check condition of injector seals. im sure glowplug light would flash, and the car would go in limp mode, under load, if it were injector.
ok will do any ideas about the knocking noise mate
could be aux belt tensioner, or diesel knock, which you would get with leak.
ok thanks for the help the guy said it sounds like a diesel knock he didnt think it was the tensioner as when he put on heated sreens and that it didnt make the noise just when you acelerate up the gears
Get the garage to perform a leak-off test, this is a simple test, quick and easy, it will tell you which injector (if any) is faulty. :)
ok cheers mate
James, who is your Ford dealer? Mik.
my local ford dealer is in stranraer the garge i usally use phoned them the main mechanic was meant to phone them back but not done so yet
doesnt have to be a ford dealer, others have the kit and charge less

ring round diesel specialists locally
Only use Fraud Stealers when there is absoloutly no other option.Mik.
or buy your own reader?

His car is an 02, most code readers wont work, Expensive ones will :)
whats his need then? current is OBD2?
Diesels not compatible till 2004, needs a garage, or someone on here with reader who lives nearby i guess.
must have had some onboard or ford couldnt read em either!
Of course ford can read them, so can anyone who has solus etc, the point being here is that cheap readers will not work, also pretty pointless getting codes read, when car not telling him it has codes.
