Hi i own an ST24 and was wondering what sort of diagnostic equipment i can use on it. I was looking at putting some software on my laptop and connecting it through OBDII but i was told that i do not have an OBDII connection as it is a 1997, but i was told that ford use FDS2000 or WDS2000? so does anybody know where i can get the cables and software for that or cant i.

You were lied to, you can use the laptop based fault code reader. The obdII socket is under the driver's side dash.
