Disconnecting alarm

I own a 1996 ford mondeo ghia x

My alarm has been going off for a few hours so I want to disconnect it. I have managed to disconnect the sound but the indicator is still going off.

Could someone please explain how I can disconnect the indicators from the alarm. Thanks

Switching the ignition on should stop the alarm.

I have tried thta with no succcess. Is there a way of completly diabling the alarm?
