My door warning light stays on, although all of the doors are secure. Double locking works fine when I leave the car. Any ideas? Do sensors need cleaning, and if so, where are they located?

Grateful for any ideas.

the switches for the doors are built into the part that catches the door on the shell of the car , not sure if there is any sort of self test that you can do with the mk3 like used to be possible with mk 1 and 2
