I recently bought a blue waffle type towel that looks like this one and it's brilliant much much better than any chamois I ve ever used. It was £5 from a kit car show I went to recently, can't tell you the make but it is very good.
As Philmon has mentioned, if you dont want ot spend to much then the drying towels from Asda are great value

I use a Megs Water Magnet which is pretty good at what it's designed to do, worth considering.

A word of note: as previously mentioned when washing microfibre cloths (I use megs and recommeded washing temp is 40 degrees)
use a non biological powder or liquid. Do not use fabric conditioner as it adversly affects the ability of the fabric to absorb water (thats
why you shouldn't use it on bath towels etc.

Hope this helps
