Car has been smoking alot lately, i read that the EGR valve can stop this. The stop is blacky/blue, not using any oil either.

Where is the pipe? Which end do i disconnect a put a bolt in? Do u need to block the other component the pipe come off also???

I plan to try this today.
Thanks alot.

Right, forget that.

Advance solenoid failure = rough idle, blue smoke, poor proformance, low MPG.

Bingo....all my symptoms.

Any ideas how to check it, wot size tool i need to remove it etc.

How hard is it to fit a new one?

the pipe is not on the turbo...you need to find the egr which is at the back of the engine on the n/s you will see it easy enough...follow the thin black plastic pipe from the egr which runs to the underside of the intercooler and simply pull it off there....block the end of the pipe and job done and you will notice big time how much better the car performs........
