Hey Folks,

My drivers side folding electric mirror has stopped folding in or out and is very loose and can be moved with the slightest touch in or out, the passenger side is totally fine and moves in an out ok electrically but the drivers side just clicks for about 1 minute then stops, the mirror movement still works fine.

Any ideas?

Depends on what actually has broken inside, and how easy it is to access.
The four parts of a wing mirror that can be purchased separately on a Mk4.0 are:
• the painted bit
• the glass
• the puddle light (if higher spec)
• the housing (the remainder), sold as only one whole unit, with the power fold motor inside, where applicable

I haven't gone into disassembling a housing, but from your description, it sounds like a key part of the folding mechanism inside has physically broken.
