Just wondering whats the easiest way to swap an engine in a MK2?

Haynes say out the bottom with subframe removed.. but i have also read that its possible to come out of the top...

i dont have access to a lift so it would be easier for me to do it out of the top....

and finally..

is there any difference between the mk1 V6 and a MK2 v6 (ST24) as i might need to start searching for an engine real soon!

Take it out of the top. The only real diffrence is in the secondaries so use your Lower Inlet Manifold and a Mk1 engine should be a straight swap.

I dropped the whole lot including the subframe.
Looking back though I reckon I should have lifted the engine only from the top.

when i done my engine conversion took both out from underneath inc crossmember :L
