Error Codes

897 Views 5 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  KAZUYADOG
I have ran the fault code reader on my car and it comes up with no errors so thats good.

Then i did the dash one and it comes up with 9318 - Am i right in saying that this is a low battery?

It started ok when i got it but has been a bit strange today starting up. When you turn the key sometimes it will half turn over then stop then start turning over again and fire up. Sometimes when it does this it also resets the clocks on the dash (Trip, fuel trip etc).

Does this point to a dodgy battery and wheres best place to get one thats suitable and not ripped off?

Cheers

9318 Battery Voltage Low
Talking of error codes, mine was littered with them when i stuck the IDS on it after the RR.

Mainly ABS and it even gave the cause as a rolling road or wiring failure...

Thats cos they switch the tcs off for the rr.

Alex you know when i asked you for your IT and AT off your RR slip, well this is why, have a butchers at this.Specifically the para's about intake temps and ambient temps.
HAVE A BUTCHERS
ah right...

Think i understood that...

As i said on the day, i was busting my dyno cherry and was only there to meet you all and to see what state the engine was in, to be honest, i did say to the old fella that i was only hoping for about 200 + ish given the age and mileage.

She does need a de coke though, had my mates Bore scope down there and its a little black. Nice kit though, Snap on digital jobbie with color screen... nice if you can afford them#!
RR and "correction factors",the 222bhp i did was with IT10 and AT8,the second run 229bhp was with IT25 and AT7.
Fuzzy with the other silver st went last Nov and did 241 with IT49 and AT5,and on the same day as us he did 213 with IT11 and AT5.
There is a definate pattern there.

That bore tool sounds really smart,is it like them laproscopes what they shove down your throat at hospital, had it done.
