I've search a little but i didn't found something about this...
I have changed the whole exhaust system and i've put a handmade manifold 4-2-1, a stainless catalytic converter by Magnaflow and 50mm pipes and i've seen that it's all wrong... So i'm looking for something that's working... I was looking for st170 manifold but i realised that it's difficult to fit it and then i heard that manifold from rs2000 can be fitted and works very well... Do you know anything about this?

IIRC the 2.0 in the Escort RS2000's were based on the old Sierra 2.0 Twin Cam engines, where-as (mk1/2) Mondeo's use Zetecs. I can't see that they'd be at all compatible with each other.

As for the Focus ST170 manifold, I think there would be issues with fitting it to a Silvertop Zetec. Something to do with which side of the engine's sump-pan the exhaust passes under. I can't remember exactly, but either the silvertop or the blacktop has it's sump bowl over to one side which allows the ST170 manifold/downpipe to pass.

For the other engine it is possible to have the downpipe cut and re-welded to pass on the correct side :L

Îœine is the silvertop one and i think that i have to cut the curves to fit the st170 manifold... The rs2000 manifold can be fitted easier but i still have to work on it. The main problem here in Greece is that it's hard to find it...
On the other hand, as i saw in the milltek site about focus 1.8 & 2.0, they recommend 2.0" downpipe while the downpipe of rs2000 is 2,25"... and i wonder if it's too big...

i cant remember if its possible or not, but if you could get hold of a blacktop sump and it fits then that would solve the problem with the st170 header. Hopefully someone will know teh compatability

i think your getting confused
rs2000 dohc manifolds wont fit zetec silver top at all
but a rs 1600 cvh will but need to drill the head
to get it to fit
st170 should go straight on with the odd mod to it

Maybe.. i don't know... it's my engineer's words not mine... he has fitted an rs2000 manifolod on his 1.8L focus and he said that this is the most reasonable and efficient work to do...
I must also change the pipes and the boxes with 55mm...
Now, about changing the sump (if it fits) to fit a st170 manifold, you think it worths?

You have a blacktop engine tho, so that manifold would fit yours no bother. Its just the silvertop that would have issues with it

So, i bought one (used, because a new one costs 1150 euro here!!!)but i realised that it was like the hand made that i have now... how lucky i was, i managed to return it to the seller!

After all... does anybody know [color:red]how[/color] should a manifold be to work on a 2.0 silvertop zetec-e???

This i want to ask is, in a 4-2-1 manifold for a 2.0L Zetec, how large (inside diameter) must be the pipes in each piece (when there are 4 pipes -> 2 pipes -> 1 pipe) and the distances between the pieces. How long must be the 2 exterior pipes and the 2 interior pipes before they become 1 and 1 respectively, and how long must be the 2 pipes before they become one.
