Evening peeps,;
Had this problem for a while now but always managed to get it to work with a few presses, but now it don't work at all,, is there an easy fix for it or is it going to be a replacement boot switch,, I assume the micro switch in the boot handle bit is now shafted,,
Is it a nightmare of a job to swap out and can you still buy a new switch ???

Thanks peeps

First time I had this issue, I had to replace the switch due to heavy corrosion.

Second time, there was no visible corrosion but it seemed that somehow the rubber membrane shifted and didn't allow the switch to make a good contact. So maybe you can take it apart and see what it's like inside - if it's the corrosion, you'll have to replace (i think a few people used a substitute microswitch with success). If no corrosion, it may work fine once re-assembled.

I've successfully used a microswitch out of a pc mouse
This is a helpful guide...

Massive thanks mate I've had a butchers and I'll open it to see if it's stuck and if not I'll look into replacing it with another micro switch
