Hy guys,
I am having a bit of a beast on my just bought 2003 Mondeo TDCI 130hp, I had this slighty woobly behaviour of the engine at idle and around 1000 revs, been to Ford dealer twice (INVICTA MOTORS in Canterbury), they have changed a sensor, recalibrated the injetors...250 pounds later the problem is not gone yet.

Ford suggestion is to change the injectors, because they recon it could be the reason.

Since I bought the car only 3 weeks ago do you think I got a "not fit for purpose" reason for taking it back to the dealer and get the money back/another Mondeo?

Take it back mate as they are prone to damage if a little bit of contamination occurs.

Invicta in Canterbury are not one of the best dealers either (I used to work for Motorline so know most of the dealers in the area)

Id agree. If the car was brand new then you can allow one or two factory line problems, i.e. new components supplied and faulty, it happens, but this, no i wouldnt be happy with it, as injector changes can cure some problems but it can be the sign of all manner of other problems, id reject

Yep, take it back.

It does work, I took back my old car 9 months after I bought it

IIRC to reject a car, you have to give them the opportunity to rectify the problem. However, I'm a bit concerned that you seem to be paying to have the problem fixed at the moment! The car should have (by law) come with a 3-month warranty so if they refuse to rectify the problem at no cost to you, then I think you have a strong case for rejecting the car :D

nope I bought it from the Cargiant a reputable dealer up in London, thing is that I live in Canterbury area, can't take the car up there and I have to rely on the local garages.

I know I shouldn't have paid for it but I thought that it was gonna get fixed...I have had enough of it. U guys have convinced me I'll call the dealer on thursday and I see if I can get a replacement.
