Hi,

I feel something funny on the brake pedal. I'm not sure if it implies big problem.

When I press the brake pedal for 5 second or so, I can feel the pedal sink a bit, and then some vibration feedback from the pedal. There is an ABS on my car, but this vibration is lighter and slower than the ABS vibration. For a short brake it works fine.

Any clue where I should look at?

Many thanks

David

Sounds like a master cylinder seals problem, faults like that with the master cylinder usually get deteriorate, a replacement seal kit could be required.

Might just be old brake fluid which has drawn in water. Hold the brakes, the fluid gets hot, water boils, air produced, air compresses, pedal sinks.

Tend to agree with both of the above posts m8... I'd go for a fluid change to begin with... Cheaper & easier, lol...

Thanks a lot. I'v booked a brake fluid change. It's going to cost 30 quids inc VAT at Ford Rapidfit. Is that normal price?
