i have put the hid kit into my fogs had to use a seperate aux relay and muck about with the foglamp too, but its a lot better, nothing worse than seeing a car with hid white lights an
I think the LED fog bulbs have been mentioned before & they are not very good, Not enough light output.
Thing is, if you put a hotter bulb in then the lens becomes discoloured and kinds melts slightly inside. I know from experience but that was when i went to halfords and got wrong wattage.

The Hid 8000k Hid kit, the bulbs are 35w and they run cooler than normal bulbs, so no problems, with the reflectors / light units
i'm having some then.

is this what you would reccommend? or you can alter the temperature to change the tint. Or would you go for something cheaper?

have you done it for your main-beam as well as your fogs>?

These are the ones that I got mate, it also explains / shows the difference in the colour (k rating)

They wont be any good for the main beam, as you dont use them long enough
Did they look the part? What strength did you ask for?
I am a little confused with the colouring types, some must be ilegal.

So why are the UK sellers selling at £50-£65 and hongkong is £17 plus £12 postage? Is the quality there on the ones you bought?
........ SORRY saw you got the 8000k for the fogs (are they same bulb as headlights)
Sellers in HK do not have to worry about trading standards.

Lots of people in the UK buy an item find it OK then buy more to sell on at a profit.
Others like me are still wary of buying some items especially when returning the item costs more than its worth.

You may have to buy from several suppliers before finding a good one.
Partly why some HK sellers on ebay sell stuff for 99p but expensive postage, In the event of a claim thats all your going to get back.
Much better to buy from sellers with free postage.
Some of the HK items state they are ISO approved and even one seller has pics up of the factory with all the workers assembled in a line making them along a copy of a contract they have with Philips making these bulbs.
I wasnt saying all of them are poor quality.

I presume lots of quality items are made there for many top brand names, But you also get the small backstreet cowboys who will just copy an item without having the facilities to test them fully.

I was looking for a small bench lathe & plenty of cheap ones direct from china. All very similar but made in different factories, Makes you wonder if they all spy on each other.
Some had certificates to show the accuracy others had to be worked on & tweaked before you could actually use them.
