Hey guys!

My name is Ruben and I am 27 years old. I proudly own a Ford =D has been my car for a few months now, and has given me no big issues. I have now a problem with central locking. Everything is working on both locks (3 door car), both mechanical parts and eletrical, but the passenger door stopped locking. The driver's door workis fine, and I've taken the passengers door apart and everything work, it's like the electrical sgnal it's not getting to the door, does that make sense?

I hope someone can help me and hope I can help anyone too!
Best Regards.

i've posted a link to an alarm test, it is not for the escort, but it should still work, and give you the same responses. When you operate the locking, it sends a signal,

In test mode, the signal should make the horn beep quietly, if your indicators flash with the alarm, they will flash too.

If you find you are not getting the signal, you can possibly undo the door looms and circuit test them with the door trim removed. If the door looms are ok, it might be a problem with wiring inside the car.

First off all, thank you soo much for the reply. Took me a while to be able to try it out.
Second, sadly non of the methods worked for me. no horn sound, no beeps, nothing. Getting really frustrated with that. Lost count of the times I took averything apart and tried to solve it.
I don't have the eletrical diagram, nothing, the relays I can see they are ok, same for the fuses.

Anyway..another thank you for the reply!

You may be able to find this book locally, if you search for it on ebay or similar... This will have all the wiring diagrams in it, you can buy them in the uk new or used, but the postage costs are usually higher than a used book.

I have some manuals in pdf, unfortunately not this one :(

Haynes can offer assistance for car specific information, if you contact them. They do like you to own one of their books though.
