Hello fellow forumers,

I have an issue with my Ford Escort Mk6 from 1994. It's a 1.6 16V petrol engine with manual A/C.

I was hoping someone could help me in finding a similar part or in repairing the old one. Right beside the battery, there is a green relay that controls the engine fan and somehow water got to it and it no longer works.

It doesn't work in the sens that it would not start the engine fan automatically at high temperature.

The trick is that I removed the relay cover and inside there two wire coils with some sort of switch on top of them and if I push the top one (the smaller coil) manually, the engine fan starts.

Could this mean that the problem is elsewhere?

If there is anybody out there with some knowledge regarding this, please help. I cannot seem to find this green relay to buy or sort it from a scrap yard, I only found newer models and those are very different inside.

Thank you!

Hello,

Thank you for your response.

I have looked at the google search you gave me and I have seen this before. One put me off from the start, was that mine is "93 AG-8C6 16 BA" and the one from ebay is "93 AG-8C6 16 DA".

Could this affect me with anything ?

On the other hand, the pinout is the same as mine..
