Hi, can anyone tell me where exactly I can find Idle Air Control Valve on my ford mondeo mk4 2012 1.6 diesel 85kw econetic? It would be great to know if I could take it out myself or I need a garage with pit to do that. At first glance I could not find it. Its is very cold and rainy, with snow, so it is very hard to explore all the engine without getting hypothermia :D

Diesel cars don't need a throttle "body". So don't have an IAC valve. There will be a throttle valve on there alright but doesn't have the same purpose.

Diesels are throttled by the fuel injectors and not by air. Also most modern cars would have a drive by wire throttle body which doesn't require an IAC valve anyway.

I have moosing noise from engine bay when engine is warm. I saw a video with Ford mondeo Mk3 ST220 with exactly the same problem and fix was air idle control valve. I wonder what is problem with my engine if it does not have idle control valve but the symptom's are exactly the same? Video title in YouTube: Ford Mondeo Mk3 ST220 Moosing Noise From Engine Bay Fix 3.0 Litre V6

The person in that video is driving the previous gen Mondeo, different engine and different fuel. So I don't think it is the same issue at all as to what you're experiencing

Can you take a video of the sound?

Yes I understand that it is a different model and different engine and fuel, but the symptoms of the problem is exactly the same. The sound comes up when engine is near fully worm and there is no sound on idle or high, sound comes up when revs are little bit above low. After engine is fully worm or cold sound diaper's. I can do a video later but it is the same thing. Maybe a hint where to look for? Also when engine is fully warm the idle gets to low I guess because of too much vibration. I think it should be something with air intake just don't know where to start looking.
