I have recently had a coil spring brake so I have replaced it. However, I failed to read previous posts and I have put the top mount on without the arrow/markings facing the front of the car. Is it possible to lower the mount enough to turn it to the correct position without taking it all apart (ie. disconnect the anti roll bar, apply spring compressors). The car seems fine, no noises.

Any help is much appreciated.

My spring also broke on the front drivers side the local garage replaced it ,
i didnt know about the white line and arrow and when i checked it ,the position is in the wrong place,i checked the other side which is original from the day it was built and that to is also wrong the white line on the this side points towards the wing while the one i just had fitted , the white line points towards windscreen, i have driven the car and there is no knocking or any noise over bumps, speed humps,
dont know if i should leave it or get it fixed,
what problems can it cause?

St Dennis you can try that method, if you clamp the spring enough it does turn but be very careful
but it might be easier to take the lot off.
