Glove box Bulb

2001 TDDi Mondeo 280,000mls

Having problems with the glovebox bulb, it seems to blow couple of hours or even minutes after putting a new one in. Its the sidelight type of bulb slot in type.

All other lighting is working fine nothing else has been affected, although the boot light fitting isnt present.

Using a standard bulb and not LEDs?

Not much to cause a bulb to blow really,

Voltage too high, Poor quality bulbs, Localised hotspots cause by oil/grease from your skin.

Best not to handle bulbs with bare hands.
