Today I Reset the fuel computer and drove from Mid Essex to Portsmouth and back, 6 hours. 59.4 mpg at the end of the journey :first: which is great :L It would have topped 60 if I hadn't had to sit for 30 minutes in a slow jam outside of Portsmouth. Who needs 6 gears with economy like that ? :D

115ps series IV, 5 speed, 21k

Before anyone uses it I will add a  at this point :D

Is that Trip figures? In reality may not be quite as good as that.

Its from the fuel computer but I did just recalculate it manually with a brim to brim as I just popped out to the petrol station after I posted the original message up. Manually it worked out 58.5, but that isn't necessarilly accurate as for some reason my car is difficult to brim with fuel. Getting the last 5-7 litres in takes ages so it could be a litre either way. Its still pretty good though.

Shouldnt need to brim the tank - should just try to use the same pump each time and once it clicks off once dont try and put any more in. That way you are filling to about the same level at every fill up. I do this and keep an average so it more or less levels itself out.

Great economy there though :L
