Doesn't sound right - mine was stood parked up all last week and still seems to be running fine. Can you stick your head under the bonnet while it's idling and see if you can find where the noise is coming from?
is it just like a loud groan for a few seconds or is it constant until you turn the ignition off? if its only for a few seconds then its called moosing and nothing to worry about as its an easy cheap fix
Look in the archive for TSB 18-2005 and see if other peoples descriptions match your problems as that has been a regular on here and sounders kinda close.
It might be the vantilator belt (not sure if I express it correctly). Mine did this sound and the service replaced the part within warranty. They said it is quite frequent fault.
