headlight = confused megger

hi all,need help i just fitted some nice h1 osram nightbreakers,the ford wiki stats that h1 is main and h7 is dipped so does the haynes manual,haynes also stat that the main beam is the inner light? but with headlights on the outer is main and inner is dipped, the h1 bulb looks like it won`t even fit into the outer bulb holder ????????????????cheers

The H1 is the main beam (inner, closer to grille)
But I do believe that there are a couple of versions for the dip beam, so you will need to check

cheers but if thats right why is the outer one coming on when the main beam is on?

when you click the main beam on with the stock, the dipped beam lights are still on then the inner lights which are the main beam come on, as well as the dipped beam ones being on.

sorted,sorry just me getting muddled up first time ive had to do headlight bulbs, always thought main beam was the dipped and other was high beam :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: never mind, thank you for your help,anybody looking for headlight bulbs i highly recommend these osram nightbreakers really bright compared to standard some h7`s now on order :L
