Hi all

The drivers seat on my 98 Ghia X doesnt seem to get warm. The passenger one is fine.. the switch lights up etc. Could it be a fuse, or the heating element? if so are they replaceable?

Any advice would be great

same with mine mate its something to do with the wirein in the seat

Oh dear! is it worth sorting it out?

Check the wiring loom beneath the seat - movement back and forth often chafes the wiring here. Check for break in wire and/or loose connection.

As said above the worst case is that the fine wires that run to the heating elements are broken, when I bought my Ghia X this was the case with both of my front seats and I ended up changing them for a pair with working elements, though I believe you can buy the elements seperatley and replace them but its a fiddly job.
Suppose it happens on cars where the front seats are constantly adjusted back and forward.
