Please help!

Driving home from work, covered no more than 400 yards when everything cut out - no brakes, power steering - nothing.

The infamous coil light came on, and now the car wont start.

Got towed home and I am waiting to call warranty people in the morning.

Is this an injector failure? my gut instinct is the lot are buggered as it's not doing a thing!

Car has been in with Ford all day and they are replacing the cam sensor.

Hopefully this will be the end of my bad luck this week, but i'll wait and see.

Hmmm, this seems to be getting more and more common on these engines.

But you will be pleased to know that since I had mine done it hasnt cut out since...well apart from me stalling it :}

Anyone know if the replacement cam sensor and wiring is a revised part, or whether it'll require replacing another 2/3 years down the line?

Don't know if the replacement is a revised part, but mine seems to be running stronger since the replacement.

Camshaft sensor - F1358343 - £12.63 + VAT
Wiring - F1376175 - £14.48 + VAT (bit more than I thought!)
