hi colud any one tell me if it is posible to upgrade from my ghia interior to ghia x full leather with electric seat on a 53 plate mondeo ghia tdci please help been told wiring harness is different

indeed i think the wiring harness is different, but in terms of just putting the leather in, very easy. If you wanted heated seats electric seats etc, id reccomend either wiring it all in yourself, or getting a new floor loom, which are not that hard to fit mate

do you have any idea on the cost and time it would take? would it be best to buy a new harrnis or get a 2nd hand 1?

seconds hand harness all the time mate, cost wise im not certain, you could be lucky and get it for 50 quid, you might get it for an average 100 quid, check the for sale forums for vehicles being broken,

i did this on a mk1, so the same as a mk2 and it took about an hour and a half with everything out, carpets seats n all, not hard at all, just some minor rewiring was needed to be done on a control box but very simple pin swapping.

I cant imagine it would be much different on a mk3 like yours

can we have some more detail about your car to see if we can get some more info for you on weather it might already have the connections there?

PT,meg member FLASHBSTD,he has recently put
leather recaro seats into a 02 zetec-s,i am sure
he can detail the fitting for you. :L

i dont think there will be any difference with the electrics, if you got electric its just a case of wiring up the heated part easy done with the right info.
