Ok so im hoping someone has the insight to help me. I am going to buy an android aftermarket head unit for my 2009 titanium mondeo but im really not happy with using a wind shield dab+ antenna when i have a perfectly good one pre stock installed.

is there a way to convert the connection on my dab antenna already installed to fit a DAB + control box?

I have noticed the usb input on the dab+ has a very small threaded male end to which the windshield antenna screws onto.

So, is there a way to convert my existing dab to an aftermarket DAB+ box.

Sorry if i rambled on a bit.lol

that is what we got to use the O.E. ariel plug on our aftermarket unit.

You can do it, when I had my head unit replaced with an aftermarket one they used an adapter for the DAB

fakra z fem to smb fem ant adt

That's what's printed on the invoice

Sorry, you mean from my existing ford fitted DAB antenna to DAB+ usb would be the fakra z female to smb female antenna adapter.?

The Problem is the USB DAB+ end is threaded, does this matter?
