Yippee! Someone else with the same workaround on a 2006 car, do you get the slow, chugging 500 rpm idle if you don't use 1" of accelerator pedal?
My old St did this and progressivly got worse.

Mine was PCM update
Fraud tell me that there is no update for a 2006 130 TDCi ... but what do they know?

I'm happy with the workaround at the moment until i can find a reference number for the update, unless it gets worse.
Cant tell you what i had as mine was a backhander type thing, friend of a friend who did it in his dinner hour.

Would imaging Ford should know though, maybe the later cars already had it? although mine was 2005

I think it generally depends who you talk to Fraud. The last two Mundanos I had did approx 100k each without visiting Ford so I'm hoping ...
Mine was done by a guy who works at Clemo ford in cleckheaton.

Ring them they should know.
Is the 06 that much different to the 05? My 05 did this and got worse and worse - PCM update did wonders.
Dunno, I just wondered when the PCM update came out - i would imagine some cars came with it from the factory?

with excellium derv and redex in the tank ive done a 80 mile morning, trip shows 55mpg and 690 miles left = 770 miles on a tankfull?
I'll be interested to hear your results if you do get a PCM update.
