How do i tell if my car is a euro 3 or euro 4?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how I'd tell if my car is a Euro 3 or Euro 4.

It's a face lift TDCi 130 Ghia 53 plate, registered 1st sept 2003

I need a back box for it and there is a difference between euro 3 and euro 4 cars exhaust back boxes apparently, so I need to be sure before ordering parts.

If you go to Ford Etis and type in your registration number, it will tell you your cars specs.

One surefire way is to look at the EGR, the Euro 4 has an electrical connector on it, the Euro 3 doesn't.

Is what etis says my car is...take it this is a euro 3 model then? I'll take a close look at the egr and that should tell me for sure then..

2000 EEC is Euro 3. Wikipedia.
