i was told that my car has st200 struts fitted up front but when i was 'down there' :whistling: the other day i tried looking for ford branding etc and couldnt see anything obvious.there was a shiney sticker saying 'mcsomething' and no it didnt say macphearson!so have i got ford st200 struts or not?
there is quite a gap between wheels and arches too which compells me to question this too.

motorcraft do ford shocks can only get them at ford. the gap between the wheels and arches is normal they do have a big gap.

cheers - yeah i would have known if it said motorcraft, but its doesnt - it says MCsomething haha - ill find out later but it defo aint motorcraft or mcphearson.

also its on koni springs so i would have thought id would be slammed, but its not as low at all as my mk1 on rs springs and standard shocks.

Allow me to answer this one as i was the person that spent three days sourcing them.

The shocks on the car are ST200 shocks sourced from Andrew Page. They don't normally stock them but managed to order me them which took over a week. On the label there should be a sku code that you can verify with at any Andrew Page vendor.

nah i believe you!i parked my mk1 next to the st one day for a comparison and the mk1 is 20-30ml lower, so i investigated the setup on the st.its quite high considering its on koni's i thought.
but im sure i wont mind when i get to test the handling out!
dvla did a proper mess up - only last week i had an apology and am now the registered owner :crazy: daft!
this weekend i am renewing the coolant, so it's nice and fresh, im also trying to find a replacement indicator lens for the morrette - apparently vw polo 98 is the same - i will see.
car is awesome mate, and getting pampered! multimedia section soon. :L
