Had a mosy round the engine today just checking all's ok :innocent:

And noticed the auxillary belt idler wobbling side to side,

it's not loose and found play in the idler if i wiggle it,

no strange noises but is it the bearing going or gone etc

fords do the idler for 12quid plus vat but just wondering if it was a replacement or live with it sort of thing.

On one hand if doesn't make any noise or wobble with eng on you better don't touch it. On other hand if it is worrying you 12 quid + 5 min is not so much for some peace of mind.

The one at the side of the engine mount?? Mine makes a right racket, Sounds like the engine is fooked with the noise it makes
