INDICATORS NO LONGER FLASH WHEN I LOCK CAR

598 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  sgtangel
I have a Mondeo ST TDCI 2006. My indicators no longer flash when I double lock the car, and if I open the bonnet with the doors locked (and I presume the alarm on) nothing happens.
I have checked and the 7.5A fuse in the glovebox is ok.
Can anyone suggest possible causes.
Thanks

Bonnet switch is faulty. Not locking properly & alarm not switching on.

Try bridging the bonnet switch, make sure you dont get the wrong one the crash sensor is also in that area.
I have heard on here somewhere something about trying to spray the bonnet pin/switch in WD40. Could be worth a try before bridging it, you never know.
