Hiya,

I'm about to replace the condenser on my air conditioning system (yes It's completely empty of freeons). However, I got it stripped down to the intercooler and hit a snag. The bolts are shredded and I can't get a spanner to grip.
I'm going to try a stripped bolt remover socket, and failing that get the dremel on to cut a groove for a flat head to undo them.

However, I'm going to want to put new bolts on after.

Anyone know what they are or have a link toa catalogue number so I can go and get some more that would be handy please?

I know they appear to be 7mm but could be 8 if they've shredded a lot! Haynes manual isn't specific on sizes.

It's a 2.0 TDCI BA7 140PS hatchback.

Thanks in advance

Freeons? Flippin 'eck. Freeon hasn't been used in vehicle air con systems for decades. R12 (Freeon) ceased to be used in 1994 with vehicle manufacturers switiching to R134a, which is now, itself, being superceeded by R-1234YF
